Flaky goes crazy after camping
STARRING Flaky Maple
FEATURING Giggles, Petunia, Cuddles
This is my interpretation of my friend Par’s AU where flaky realizes that nightmares of her and her friends dying are real and goes crazy because of it, this is long after that would have occured, Flaky is just trying to enjoy whatever she can and decides to spend a day with all of her friends.
Flaky was in the backseat of Petunia’s car, and due to her ocd rules she had a garbage bag covering all of her quills to prevent any dandruff from leaking out. Giggles and Petunia were chatting in the front seats while Cuddles sat across from Flaky, looking out at the wilderness as they travelled down the highway. Flaky couldn’t help but notice a few familiar landmarks as she simply enjoyed spending time with her friends. It had been a while since Flaky was able to enjoy anything, the dread of possibly dying at any point had isolated her from everything, but she just decided to put all her fears aside for this one day.
Giggles turned back at Flaky and Cuddles with a big grin. “Are you guys ready to go see the beautiful outdoors?” Cuddles quickly grins back and has some enthusiasm. “Oh for sure! I hope there’s some paths to follow! I’ve been dying to get my legs sore out hiking!” Giggles turned to Flaky to find out she had a horrified look on her face. She tilts her head. “Flaky? Are you okay?” Flaky was staring out the window, for a second she saw a bloody torso lying on the road, but as she focused it disappeared. Suddenly it all made sense to her, of course they were going to the same campsite, the memories quickly came flooding back.
Giggles gets a bit worried. “Flaky… Hello…?” She waves her hand in Flaky’s face and it does nothing, but when Cuddles shakes her shoulder a bit she quickly snaps back and faces them both. “Hmm? Sorry? I uhh… got lost in thought…” She lets out a bit of a nervous chuckle as the yellow in her eyes becomes a bit more noticable. Giggles was a little unnerved but she chuckled it off alongside Flaky. “You excited to go camping Flaky?” Flaky keeps up a fake smile for a few moments before sighing. Cuddles gently rubs her shoulder, but this time in a comforting way. “Oh don’t worry about it Flaky! We’ll be here to make sure nothing goes wrong!” That’s exactly what he said last time, the time when he abandoned her in the woods. Hahahahahahaha.
She had to hold herself back from laughing as she simply gave Cuddles a very very unconvincing and unnerving smile. “Right Cuddles…” Cuddles couldn’t hide their worry as he looked away. It was a quiet car ride as Flaky was quickly losing her tiny bit of composure for the rest of the ride. They pulled into the exact same parking spot that Flaky remembered. Giggles and Petunia stepped out of the car and Cuddles got out and wrapped around to Flaky’s door and opened it. He offers her a hand. “C’mon! Let’s go set up our campsite!” He says with a big smile. Flaky twitched a bit as she turned to Cuddles with a maniacal look on her face. Cuddles looks at her for a moment, and gains a nervous look. “Flaky… It’s not l-.” Flaky cuts Cuddles off with a crazy voice. “Oh come on! There’s no bears! Don’t be such a downer! Let’s go have fun!” Cuddles takes a step back, genuine fear on his face. “How did you-.” “There’s no bugs Flaky! Come, let’s go on a walk through the woooooodsssss!” She starts laughing like a maniac in the back seat and all three of the others all slowly just… Walked to the back of the car and grabbed all their things, making a judgement call to give her some time to herself.
They all gathered their things and walked away from the car as Flaky just went more and more insane in the car. It took her about 10 minutes to finally calm down enough to get out of the car. She walked around to the back and felt around the edge for a specific case that none of the others knew about. She pulled it out and unravelled it, revealing a wooden baseball bat with tons of quills sticking out of it. “Don’t worry Flaky, we’ll be here to protect you…” Her voice was getting a bit high pitched and slowly gaining volume. She closes the car hood and starts walking into the woods in a very different direction than the others went. ‘Don’t worry Flaky, there’s no bears! Cmon lets go!” She started laughing to herself again, quieter but still just as crazy as before. In just a few minutes she was completely gone from the parking lot.
After a while of walking she came across a Red pickup truck, she took a peek inside the window and noticed how dirt covered it looked and sighed with a bit of unnatural happiness in her voice. “Hello Maple…” She had a bit of a quiet, plotting voice as she giggled a bit. She walks over to his front tire. “It’s nice to see you out here again!” She holds on the last word in a loving way, slowly picking up volume. She pulls the bat over her shoulder and charges up, then swings the bat straight into his tire, severely fucking it up. She walks over to his back tire. “Oh me?!? What am I doing here?!?” She was getting louder and louder as she sounded like she was about to break into another laughing fit. “I’M JUST RETURNING THE FAVOUR MAPLE!” She yells out as she smacks his back tire a few times with the bat. The sound of the tires deflating from being popped was only outdone but the ever growing crazed laugh that Flaky was letting out. She saw a clear path from this parking spot leading into the woods and assumed it would lead her right to Maple’s cabin, so she started whistling to herself as she walked down the path. —– Maple was hammering in some new boards for the steps up to his porch when he heard some leaves being crushed behind him. He quickly assumed it was a wild animal and grabbed his axe in a heartbeat, quickly scanning around the area for whatever made the disturbance. “Get away! Not even a bear could scare me, beast!” There was an odd, looming silence afterwards. As his resolve started to lower he heard some more footsteps off in the distance. He started to really have the heebie jeebies set in. He weighed his options and quickly decided to go back inside and lock the door, turning on anything in his cabin that made ambient noise so he could try to distract himself from whatever the hell that thing outside was.
Maple managed to get about a half hour of peace before he heard some tapping at the window. He was frozen with fear from the sound, but after like a full minute of psyching himself up he walked over to the window. He scanned every square inch of what’s outside with pure paranoia and couldn’t manage to see anything. But after a minute or two of him looking outside he suddenly spotted a pair of yellow eyes peering at him through the trees. Fuck everything. Maple grabbed his axe and decided he was no longer safe in these woods, and his only way out was running for his life. He grabbed his axe and rushed out of the cabin, and at full speed he charged down the path to his truck.
After a few minutes of running full speed down the path he found the last thing he wanted to see right now. His tire was completely busted, and the dirt had quite a few footprints that were much too small to be his. He scanned around the surroundings for a bit, making sure there wasn’t an attacker waiting to ambush him and then decided it would be best if he was back at the cabin, it wasn’t safe but it was better than absolutely nothing. After a few minutes of running back home he saw that his door was still wide open. He went back inside and locked the door behind him, but he needed to make sure he was alone in this house. With his axe held tight he methodically clears every room nice and slow, there was evidence of someone else having been in this cabin recently, but thankfully they had to have left. But as he went to turn on all the ambient noise again, he noticed a note on the counter that wasn’t there when he ran away. He picked it up and read it slowly, he felt every single shiver curl down his spine. He could tell that the note was written in blood, and all it simply read was “We’ll be here to make sure nothing goes wrong.”
Maple grabbed a hammer, and a box of nails, and started boarding up the windows and then the door, in record time too. It only took him about 10 minutes to fully board up every single entrance to the house. It was getting dark now, and the only light sources now were the ones his house made. He was still wide awake though and I don’t even think tranquilizers could make him sleep. As he was making himself some food he saw something out of the corner of his eye. He snapped over and saw those two yellow eyes again… inches away from the window. He grabbed his axe and charged at the window, but the figure slipped away out of view. ‘“WHAT DO YOU WANT?!” He screams out in desperation. He got about the worst possible answer to that question as he suddenly heard a maniacal laugh from outside of the house. He was fully shaking in fear now, if he held his axe any tighter he would’ve snapped it into pieces.
But then he heard a familiar voice. “Maple… It’s me… I’m scared… Can you let me in…? His heart sank as he snapped to his feet. “Flaky?!? What are you doing! It’s not safe out there!” He ran up to the door and quickly pried off the boards. You could hear him trembling in his breathing. “Boy am I glad to hear you though Flaky! There’s something out there! They slashed my tires and have been-…” He trailed off as he opened the door and saw Flaky looking up at him with a crazed grin. She had bloody bandages covering her arms and one of her eyes was twitching. She was holding a large baseball bat that was absolutely covered in quills, and there was a fresh cut on her hand, with the blood all over her fingers. In that moment it all clicked and he instantly slammed the door shut and locked it. Flaky quickly tried the door knob to open it but was too late, so she charged up her bat and smashed it into the door, carving a pretty sizable chunk out of it. “WHAT’S THE MATTER MAPLE?!?” She yelled out in a very high pitched voice, though her voice cracked so much it was hard to tell if it was the voice she was using or just the one that ended up coming out. Maple scampers away from the door. “FLAKY! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!? WE’RE FRIENDS, REMEMBER?!?” Flaky starts laughing in a quiet voice again as she slams her bat into the door again. “Do I remember…?” She says in a quiet voice. “DO I REMEMBER??!?!” She then yells out. She smashes the bat into the door again, now having punched a hole through the door. “I REMEMBER EVERYTHING MAPLE!” With one more smash she heard the lock almost break. Maple yelps out in fear. “FLAKY! W-WHY CAN’T WE J- JUST TALK THIS OU-.” Flaky smashes through the lock and the door swings open, her entire body was twitching as she tilts her head and looks down at him. “I remember when you painted the highway with my corpse Maple.” She puts on a big wicked grin. “I remember feeling my legs tear off as YOU RAN ME OVER MAPLE!” Her quiet to loud crescendo happened so fast. She raises her bat. “I REMEMBER SMASHING INTO YOUR WINDSHIELD MAPLE! OH YES! I REMEMBER US BEING FRIENDS MAPLE!” She starts chuckling again as she goes to bash his brains in, but he blocks her attack with his axe. “I DON’T WANT TO HURT YOU FLAKY-.” She steps back and puts her hands on her face, grabbing at her face as her whole body seemed crooked. “Why does it matter anyway Maple? YOU’LL JUST WAKE UP TOMORROW NEVER REMEMBERING ANYTHING!!!! NONE OF YOU REMEMBER ANYTHING! GO AHEAD AND KILL ME MAPLE! IT WILL CHANGE NOTHING!” She swings her bat again and once again maple blocks, but this time her swing breaks his axe in half. He just looks up in horror before Flaky swings again and tears a hole into his face, a few quills lodging themselves into his flesh. She winds up and swings again, busting his jaw as blood splattered everywhere. She started laughing again as she raised the bat and smashed it down again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.
When she had finally calmed down and stopped laughing, Maple wasn’t even a corpse anymore. Just a bunch of bone fragments and blobs of flesh. “We’ll be here to protect you Flaky!” She said as she picked her bat up and walked out of his house. She walks away laughing. And laughing… She suddenly sits up in bed… Laughing maniacally. The cut she used to write the note was still there, and her quill bat which was leaning against the wall still had tons of splinters and broken quills from the damage she had unleashed with it. She layed in bed continuing to laugh as the clock beside her bed read 4:55 am.
The end.
