Petunia and Maple go skiing

STARRING Maple Petunia FEATURING Lumpy

Petunia parked the car in the moderately full parking lot of the ski resort. Maple stepped out of the passenger seat and walked to the back of the car, pulling out all of the supplies that they needed to get some skiing done. Petunia adjusted her scarf and started walking to the door with Maple quickly following behind. “How many times have you gone skiing again? I remember asking but I don’t remember the answer…” Maple started up some small talk. “Oh uh.. This is only my second time, but you said you were an expert so I couldn’t think of a better reason to go.” Petunia put on a nice smile as she looked over at Maple. “That’s a good train a’ thought, you know I’ve been taming hills like these my whole life, even back when I was just a kid.” Maple chuckled to himself a bit. The two arrived at the entrance to the resort and walked inside.

Maple gave Petunia the bag with all of their clothing to help with the cold and Petunia walked over to a bench to start putting on all of the gear whilst Maple walked up to the counter. He waited for a minute before Lumpy walked over to him. “Hello sir! How can I help you today?” Maple leaned against the counter slightly. “Hello! I paid in advance for Maple and Petunia!” Lumpy picks up a list and looks at it closely, but then looks back up with a smile. “Looks like you’re on the list! Enjoy your time sir!” Lumpy picked up two arm bands and handed them to Maple. Maple took them and nodded his head. “You as well!” He then turned and walked back over to Petunia. He sat down beside her and also started dressing up in his winter clothing. “You know, I’ve been thinking about this for a bit…” Maple started as he leaned down to put on his boots and slip his ski pants over them. Petunia looked over. “Hmm?” She was bundled up in a LOT of extra accessories, partially so that no snow could get in her fur. “You know… I invite Flaky out every time… And while I don’t mind it, maybe sometime you or Giggle’s could invite her out.” Petunia tilts her head a bit. “Oh! Well… I guess that makes sense… I never really think about it…” She seems to get a bit lost in thought for a moment. But her thinking trance would be broken when Maple stood up and stretched. “Alright! You ready to take on this hill!” Petunia stands up and nods her head. “Yep! Let’s go!” The two walked out of the ski resort and both took the lift all the way to the top of the hill.

Maple made sure his ski’s were on tight, and then made extra sure that Petunia’s ski’s were on good before he took up position. “Alright! Just follow my lead Petunia!” Maple pushed off and started down the hill, with Petunia following close behind. Maple kept turning to make sure Petunia was still behind him and every time he did she was perfectly fine. Things were going well for the two as they approached a jump. Maple turned to Petunia. “Remember! Keep your feet level with the floor!” His gaze lingered on Petunia for a bit while he waited for her to nod with understanding. It took her a bit she finally did, though when Maple turned back to look in front of him he was already at the jump, he had no time to adjust as he suddenly took the ramp at a very weird angle. Petunia watched in horror as Maple flew right into a ski lift, the top of his head was taken clean off as his corpse flew for a bit, eventually settling as he got impaled by a few branches in some trees. Petunia was completely shaken up, but moving so fast down the mountain she didn’t have time to process what just happened. She had to manoeuvre through the ski trail without really knowing what she was doing. Eventually another jump came and she took it, though once in the air she quickly lost her poise. She flailed around in the air until crashing down. One ski landed properly on the ground to continue her acceleration down, but the other ski perfectly dug into the snow as far as it possibly could. Petunia was quickly split in half vertically as one half of her corpse stayed lodged in the snow while the other drifted down a bit before friction could stop it. The end.
